Organizations & Teams
Every Barrd account starts with a personal organization. To collaborate, create a team org and invite members.
Personal org
Section titled “Personal org”When you sign up, Barrd creates a personal org automatically. This is where solo projects live. It can’t be deleted or transferred.
Creating a team org
Section titled “Creating a team org”Go to the org switcher in the sidebar and click New Organization.
- Name — display name (can be changed later)
- Slug — URL identifier, e.g.
my-team. Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. Can’t be changed after creation.
You’re the owner of any org you create.
Inviting members
Section titled “Inviting members”From Org Settings → Members, click Invite. Enter an email and select a role.
Invitations expire after 7 days. The recipient gets an email with a link to accept.

There’s one owner per org. Transfer ownership by promoting another member to owner.
What’s shared, what’s personal
Section titled “What’s shared, what’s personal”- Shared across the team: projects, tasks, plans, documents, decisions, the knowledge graph
- Personal to each member: session state. Each person’s Claude instance manages its own context.
This means Claude loads team decisions and shared tasks, but session snapshots don’t collide between members.
Switching orgs
Section titled “Switching orgs”Use the org switcher in the top-left of the sidebar. Your last-used org is remembered.
Member limits
Section titled “Member limits”Member limits depend on your plan. Free and Pro plans include 1 member. Team plans support unlimited members with per-seat billing.
When you hit the member limit, invitations are blocked until you upgrade.
Deleting an org
Section titled “Deleting an org”Only the owner can delete an org, from Org Settings → Danger Zone. Type the org name to confirm. This deletes all projects, tasks, plans, documents, sessions, and decisions in the org. It can’t be undone.
Personal orgs can’t be deleted.
